The terminal does several things to set up Docker Toolbox for you. When it is done, the terminal displays the $ prompt. Docker on Windows 10 Home
Double-click Docker Desktop Installer.exe to run the installer. If you plan to reformat your machine, you’ll have to go through the same process again. It’s worse if your job is to install Docker on multiple machines running Windows 10 Home. You’ll need to restart your terminal or execute source ~/.bashrc for the settings to take effect. Running Docker commands should work properly in WSL without a hitch. If you want to remove Docker entirely, you can verify that the uninstall removed the .docker directory under your user path. This directory stores some Docker program configuration and state, such as information about created machines and certificates.
